In brief

Aluminium structures are the part of our range that covers lightweight shelters and street furniture for public spaces and sports venues. They go up at public transport stops, in front of offices and shops, at bicycle parking areas, and at stadiums and sports fields. Stef-Bud has been in business since 2007 and builds such structures throughout Poland, matching the type, dimensions and colour to the installation site.

Aluminium, steel and polycarbonate in public spaces

A structure used every day by many people works under different conditions than a shelter at a private house. It has to cope with rain, wind, frost and strong sun, and at the same time withstand accidental impacts and intensive use. That is why we combine a load-bearing frame with an infill of polycarbonate sheets — a durable set, resistant to mechanical damage and easy to look after, because cleaning and maintaining such surfaces is very simple.

Polycarbonate is a durable and safe substitute for glass — a material roughly 25 times more resistant to breakage and cracking than glass. In structures for public spaces it is responsible for the strength of the roof and for its resistance to weather conditions, cracking, crumbling and deformation. We use multiwall or solid sheets, in a clear or opal version, chosen to suit the character of the location.

The load-bearing frame is made of aluminium or steel profiles. Aluminium is light and corrosion-resistant, while sturdy steel profiles give a stable frame for the structure. The components are powder-coated in any colour from the RAL palette, so the structure can be matched to its surroundings, to club colours or to the colour scheme of a building. We build the shelters from certified materials and subject them to quality control.

The same structural solutions serve different applications. Bus stop shelters cover people waiting for public transport, bicycle shelters protect bikes at parking areas by offices and shops, and stadium shelters with a steel frame and walls of clear or opal polycarbonate serve as substitutes' benches and as places for referees and coaches. We build them in many types, dimensions and shapes.

The structures are made to measure and matched to the investor's needs and to the space available. The modular construction and precisely prepared components shorten the work on site. In bicycle shelters the solid structure can be supplemented with additional anti-theft features that protect the bikes from theft and damage.
